Poor service delivery by an online grocery store
It was around December and due to certain circumstances, we had to place our order for daily essentials through an online grocery store. It was quite renowned and therefore we didn't have much doubt.
Just few minutes prior to the delivery, they postponed our order without any prior notification. Further, after few days, they cancelled our order. This is a case of utter negligence and poor service delivery on their part.
We escalated this issue to the higher authorities but no one seemed to be bothered. If this is the state of service, how can people rely on them during an emergency?
The old people unable to visit the market will be the worst sufferer. This is how community service gets hampered and we end up relying on the traditional systems.

In South Africa, an example of poor service delivery would be loadshedding/ power outages. This is so because electricity is a resource that should be provided to the entire country (especially those who have access to it AND pay for it). Eskom's failure to provide the country with electricity is a service is that is poorly delivered.

The failure to provide the applied and qualified candidates of RDP houses is another example of poor service delivery. There are many citizens that have suffered both socially and economically in Apartheid and have gotten the opportunity to be granted Reconstructive and Development Programme houses, however the same government that implemented this socio-economic policy framework cannot comply to their mandate.
