Following are the description of different animal breeds of Rajasthan

• Breeds of Goats: There are 3 well known breeds of goats. They are Jakhrana, Sirohi and Marwari .
• Sheep breeding : In order to improve the sheep population the state provides the superior breeding males RAM to the sheep breeders.
• Pig breeding : It is widely popular in schedule caste and tribes.

Tharparkara cattle found in Jaisalmer and Jodhpur which provide bumper milk.

Nagauri cattles found in Nagaur district which provide less milk but help in cultivating, ploughing and also help in drawing water from wells etc.

• Buffalo breeding : Murrah and Surti are the two types of buffalo breeding reared in the state of Rajasthan.
