It is a battle fought between the East India Company force headed by Robert Clive and Siraj-Ud-Daulah (Nawab of Bengal). The rampant misuse by EIC officials of trade privileges infuriated Siraj. The continuing misconduct by EIC against Siraj-Ud-Daulah led to the battle of Plassey in 1757.

battle of Plassey was held in 23 June 1757 between the company and the nawab of Bengal. The company was led by Lord Clive and the army of Bengal was laid by Siraj ud daulah. Factors led to battle of Plassey-

1- Britishers were interfering in the political affairs of Bengal which make nawab angry

2- The company was making forts in Bengal even after nawab warning

3-At last company refused to pay the tax for trading in Bengal

4-Nawab with his army marched at kassimpore and captured several soldier and seized the factories which annoyed lord Clive and then the battle held and Nawab was defeated.
