The initial conference of the Constituent Assembly was held on 9th December 1946.The Constituent Assembly was fractianalized into various committees responsible for assignments some of them are the National Flag Committee ,the Fundamental Rights Committee,Committee on Rules of Procedures.These committee were assigned. the task of creating detailed accounts of their respective subjects and report to the Drafting committee.The Drafting Committee was supremiced by Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar and was amendable for the compendium of the individual accounts and legally blue printing the Constitution of India .

The Constituent Assembly worked intensely on the Constitution for 2 years 11months and 18 days and created the lengthiest Constitution in the world .The Constitution was fosteraged on 26 th November 1949 .It was put into effect on 26 January 1950 .This day is also commemorated as Republic Day.
