Geothermal energy

• Generation: Steams that comes from reservoirs of hot water found at the depth of few kilometres below the earth surface. Turbine is rotated by that steam which produces electricity.
• Distribution: They are mostly found along the areas where major tectonic plates are located.
• Advantages : Electricity generated by this can be used for cooking, lighting bulbs.
• Disadvantages:
• Their plants are not possible to be set up everywhere in the world as they are location specific.
• They have high construction and maintenance cost.
