Palaeolithic tools

i. Stone tools - Palaeolithic means 'Old Stone Age'. Stone was carved to make the early versions of hammers, knives, clubs and arrowheads.

ii. Wooden tools - Wood was used to make handles for axes and hammers, carved-tip spears and bows and shafts of arrows.

iii. Bone tools - Bone from dead animals was used to make handles for axes and hammers, needles for stitching and knives.

Neolithic tools

Neolithic means 'New Stone Age'. The tools were more sophisticated and specialized. Sometimes they were polished. Copper was used for the first time. Rocks with a high percentage of silicium dioxide were used to make tools with sharp edges.

Some of the tools used during this period were:

i. Scrapers - They were stone tools which were used even in the earlier period. They were flat pieces of stones which had one longer slightly curved edge. The edge was sharpened by banging off flakes with another rock also known as knapping.

ii. Blades - They were made by knapping down a stone and making it into a thin piece.

iii. Arrows and Spearheads - A high degree of precision and care was required to make them.

iv. Axes - First the axe was shaped through flaking. Then another stone was used to grind it smooth.

v. Adzes - They were woodworking tools. They had a flat blade which was attached to a handle. Their blade was turned horizontally like a hoe.

vi. Hammers and Chisels - Sharp pieces of stones were attached to the ends of a sturdy sticks to make chisels. Stones were rounded and holes were drilled through them to fix the handles and make hammers.

The Neolithic Period stretched out from 10,000 B.C to 3,000 BC. It is likewise called the New Stone Age, and numerous new advances and changes occurred as of now. Not at all like the roaming life of the Old Stone Age, the New Stone Age was the unfolding of settled life. Individuals lived more towards lakes and streams rather than caverns, and tree trunks. This prompted the difference in the employments of the general public. Dissimilar to Paleolithic time's, the man could have more relaxation time to spend. This drove him to widen the general public he was living in and prompted expanded populaces in the Neolithic Age. The more individuals there was the more disclosure man set aside a few minutes.

Social orders in the New Stone Age were a settled people, who always enhanced their way of life's to make it less demanding to live by. Employment's of the ladies never again comprised of social affair, it comprised of developing the yields, since horticulture was another supplier of nourishment. Taking everything into account, the lives of the general population living in the Paleolithic and the Neolithic era were diverse from numerous points of view and a like too. Through the changes in innovation, training, and culture they could improve the personal satisfaction all through these two periods. As man's mind expanded, it drove into the new age, and the begin of what might be human progress, as we probably are aware it.
