Explanation:
- The Quit India Movement was the last large scale movement of the freedom movement. The failure of the Cripps Mission and the growing threat of Japanese aggression brought about a radical change in Mahatma Gandhi's attitude towards the British Government.
- The Quit India movement was launched at Bombay session of all India congress commitee at Bombay on August 7 1942 by Mahatma Gandhi. The main demand was end of the British rule in India.
