Give a geographical reason for each of the following

(i) Khadar is more fertile than Bangar

(ii) Red soil is acidic in nature

(iii) Black soil is largely found in the Deccan Trap region​

i) Khadar plains are low-lying next to a river.

Khadar areas are prone to flooding and sometimes include portions of former river-beds that became available for agriculture when a river changed course.

Khadar soil consists of new alluvial deposits and is often very fertile.

ii) They are acidic mainly due to the nature of the parent rocks. The alkali content is fair.

They are poor in lime, magnesia, phosphates, nitrogen and humus.

They are fairly rich in potash and potassium.

iii) The Deccan traps are areas of volcanic rocks. Since black soil is of volcanic origin , black soil is largely found in this area.
