Helen met Alexander Graham Bell at the age of six, he was approached by Helens parents to get an opinion on educating Helen, he was a kind man but could not help Helens parents he said them to contact Mr. Anagnos the director of the Perkins institute of blind who later replied that a competent teacher had been found to teach Helen , so Alexander graham bell was the main reason behind getting a teacher for Helen Keller , Helen sat on his lap and it was satisfying to know that he understood Helens method of communication and how desperate she was to communicate. Helen from then on met him at different junctures of her life , he was  humorous and a poet and the way he explained things made even scientific theories seem interesting to Helen. Dr. Alexander contributed a lot to help the deaf people. in the year 1893 Helen went along with Dr. Alexander and miss Anne Sullivan to the world fair. he Dr. Alexander told Helen about how the telephones worked , Dr. Alexander remained a benefactor and a friend throughout Helens life , he even helped Helen when she was accused of plagiarism of "the frost of king" , he and miss Anne Sullivan started investigating this issue as they did not want Helen to be let down at her first attempt to write a story of her own.
