As an example, Bandura's reciprocal determinism could occur when a child is acting out in school. The child doesn't like going to school; therefore, they act out in class. ... Each behavioral and environmental factor coincides with the child and so forth resulting in a continuous battle on all three levels.
Answer:
In a nutshell, reciprocal determinism describes the interactions between a person, their environment, and their behavior. Personal and societal variables influence human behavior, which is also influenced by environmental influences. Reciprocal determinism is made up of three interconnected variables: behavior, cognition, and environmental conditions. And they're all intertwined to the point that they all rely on one another. As a result of the interaction of these three variables, we are molded. For example, when I was a shy student who preferred to keep to myself (a cognitive component), I strolled into class on the first day of school to find that the other students had already sat down (an environmental factor). To avoid becoming the center of attention, which is a behavioral component, I try to go into the back of the class. However, a loud classmate at the front of the room greeted me and urged me to sit next to her; as a result, the environment has presented a new reinforcing stimulus in the form of the pleasant student, which has resulted in a shift in my typical routine as well as a change in my behavior.
