This is really irritating and disappointing when someone verbally abuse you
There are some ways from which you can handle this situation
Making that person understand politely: Tell that guy personally that what he did was wrong in a polite way. Ask him why he had done so. Most of the time it solves the problem
Ignoring: If that person still not understands then you can ignore him. when you don't pay any attention to him then he will automatically feel guilty and stop doing so
Consult from your parents and guardians or teachers: If that person is going below the belt then you must tell your parents and guardians or teachers (if that guy is your classmate). They will then take appropriate action.
One big mistake that children do in such situation is that they themselves abuse them which leads to a big problem. It is strictly not recommended to do so.

▶️Talk him /her with very affectionately even after he/she abuses you. This is best psychological trick to make regret.
▶️ Ignoring that person is also best method if you have control on ourselve.
▶️ Sometimes Meaningful Silence is better than Meaningless Words.
