CHENNAI: Against the backdrop of growing need to conserve water resources and take up special projects across the state, the state government on Monday issued an order setting up Tamil Nadu Water Resources Conservation and Rivers Restoration Corporation. This is on the lines of TN Road Development Company for road infrastructure. The Chennai River Restoration Trust and State Water Resources Management Agency will also be merged with the corporation in due course.
