it's a kind of farming technique where after growing crops in a certain area or  after the harvest, the farmers burn down everything on that piece of land in order to restore the fertility of the soil..after burning that piece of land the farmers move on to another land to restart their agriculture

slash and burn agriculture is also called jhoom cultivation and this is usually used by tribal people's in this they firstly take an area and then they burn all plants and grass then they cultivate crop in it and after the crop is grown then they cut it and again burn that land
