Take a bottle with 3 holes on its sides on different heights. Close the holes with tape and fill the bottle with water. Now, open all the holes at the same time and you'll observe that water begins to go out through those holes. Now, it states that water exert pressure on sides.
Then, take another bottle and attach a balloon on its bottom. Now, slowly fill the bottle with water. You'll observe that as you'll fill the bottle, the balloon below will begin to swell which shows that water exerts pressure on bottom also.
(The first experiment will also show that water exert pressure maximum on its bottom as water will be displaced to the longest distance through the lowest hole).
