BIRTH story is written by A. J. CRONIN. In this story, the author reveals that hardwork and determination can revive even a lost thing. ( dead new born child ). Dr. Andrew Manson was young and novice doctor. He was called to Joe's House to do the delivery of his wife. He was tedious and also not properly slept. It was a late night. He had done all his bit to do the delivery successfully as it was their first child in the Morgan's Family. But the child was born lifeless and the condition of the mother was also critical. So, Andrew thought to first treat the mother and then afterwards child. Mother was saved successfully. Now he turned towards the child. The nurse declared the child as dead. But Andrew continued his efforts by plunging the child in hot water and cold water alternatively. But this didn't work. So, he rubbed the baby with a rough towel, then pressed the chest of the baby. This last step revived the child. The child came alive. His deadly efforts proved fruitful at last.
