Answer:

Explanation:

Democracy as defined by Abraham Lincoln, the sixteenth president of the USA, is government of the people for the people and by the people. Considering the three arms of government, Parliament is by far the most obvious representation of the people. Each constituency is represented and therefore should exercise the greatest power. The Executive should stem from Parliament and the President/Prime Minister should be the Speaker of Parliament. If your constituents do not want you as their MP, then you do not qualify to be the Head of State and Government. The President/Prime Minister should chuck at least seventy percent of parliamentary votes. If he/she is not able to secure these votes from his party, he/she will be forced to form a coalition government. If we, as a people, go along this path, politicians will take us serious. Governments will not have the leeway to set their own 'questions' and answer them. For a people to be taken serious they should have standards and these standards must be conformed to. We have given the powers to our leaders and they have led us to the doldrums. Let’s now take these powers and give them to the people and see what transpires. If we, as a people, fail on this second path after ten years, then it will mean we would have to renounce our independence and apply for the status of a British Colony.
