international date lineinternational date line,  imaginary line on the earth's surface,generally following the 180° meridian of longitude, where, byinternational agreement, travelers change dates. Travelingeastward across the line, one subtracts one calendar day;traveling westward, one adds a day. The date line is necessary toavoid a confusion that would otherwise result. For example, if anairplane were to travel westward with the sun, 24 hr wouldelapse as it circled the globe, but it would still be the same dayfor those in the airplane while it would be one day later for thoseon the ground below them. The same problem would arise if twotravelers journeyed in opposite directions to a point on theopposite side of the earth, 180° of longitude distant. Theeastward traveler would set his clock ahead 1 hr for each 15° oflongitude see standard time

180 longitude.it is majorly passing through seas and oceans  bez to remove regional disparites .The International Date Line functions as a “line of demarcation” separating two consecutive calendar dates.it is advantage for travellers who travells  from eastern countries to western countries bz they gain one day.it is dis advantage to travellers from western side to eastern bz they loss one day.

int standard time is the green mean time and 0 degree mean time from THIS GMT time all countries is  takes their regional time as their standard time ex india took 5;30 fast then tis time
