2. Kumaon Himalayas: The western part of the Himalayas which is situated between the Satluj river in the west and Kali river in the East is called Kumaon Himalayas.

3. Nepal Himalayas : it lies between Kali and tista river.

4. Assam Himalays :the easternmost part is located between the river Tista in the west and the Dihang in the East.

5. Purvanchal Hills: it is the North Eastern extension of Himalaya .
