Food preservation. Food preservation prevents the growth of microorganisms (such as yeasts), or other microorganisms (although some methods work by introducing benign bacteria or fungi to the food), as well as slowing the oxidation of fats that cause rancidity.

•It is the method to prevent the growth of microorganisms such as yeats, fungi etc in the food and it is also used to slow down the oxidation of fats.
【Some method of Food Preservation are:- 】
◆Drying:-
In this method water is reduced,which helps in preventing bacteria growth.
◆Freezing:-
In this process foodstuff are kept in Cold place to prevent microorganisms attack.
◆Salting :-
In this method moisture is removed from the food like meat.
◆Jellying :-
This method helps in preserving food by cooking in a meterial that solidifies to form gel.
◆Potting :-
It is the most tradition method of placing the meat in the pot and sealing it with Layer of fat.
