The Mughals were very fond of gardens. This could be seen as the Mughal Tombs were generally placed at the centre of the gardens. They were well versed in planning and constructing the gardens. The famous Mughal Gardens are the Charbagh gardens at Taj Mahal, Shalimar Garden at Lahore, Nishat Bagh in Kashmir and Pinjore Garden in Haryana.
