hey...
The proportion of poor people is not same in every state of the country. The government has made efforts to reduce the poverty in the country. In many states and union territories of india the poverty ratio is less than the national income. Poverty is still a serious problem in various states of india like Assam,Tripura,Uttar pradesh etc. Odisha and Bihar are the poorest states in india with poverty ratios 47% and 43% respectively . However the poverty level is decreased in various states of india like Jammu and kashmir,Kerela,Andhra pradesh,Tamil nadu etc. In Andhra pradesh and Tamil nadu the PDS (Public Distribution System) helped to decrease poverty
