Malaria Causal organism: Plasmodium ( a parasitic protozoan)

Symptoms: High fever, repeated on the third fourth day. Headache and violent shivering chills. Leads to enlargement of liver and spleen if not cured properly.

Prevention and cure: Treatment with drugs like chloroquine is effective . However prevention is a better solution.

Preventive measures include :

1. Killing the mosquitoes

2. Preventing mosquito-breeding
