North America is extraordinarily rich in minerals.It has 1/6 of coal resources in the world.T hey produce natural gas,petroleum,coal and so on in great number.T hey are also major producers of cobalt.Others like nickel and vanadium are there.B ut they lack in tin.N orth America contributes to 91% of world's production too.

mineral deposits in North America are located in three zones: the Canadian region north of the Great Lakes, the Appalachian region and the mountain ranges of the west. Iron ore, nickel, gold, uranium and copper are mined in the Canadian Shield Region, coal in the Appalachians region
