Monpa tribe is one of the primitive tribes of Arunachal Pradesh. They ardently believe on Buddhism but also follow animal sacrifices on the contrary. Monpa people are adept in making Thangka painting, carpet making, weaving and wood carving. The tribal community is divided into six sub-groups.
