Answer:

Nadir Shah plundered the city of Delhi in 1739. His invasion caused considerable damage to the Mughal empire. Hence, within a short span of Aurangzeb's death, the vast Mughal Empire was split into numerous independent and semi-independent states. Nadir Shah carried away immense booty including the Kohinoor diamond and the costly Peacock Throne of Shah Jahan.

Answer:

Emperor Nader Shah, the Shah of Persia (1736–47) and the founder of the Afsharid dynasty of Persia, invaded Northern India, eventually attacking Delhi in March 1739. His army had easily defeated the Mughals at the battle at Karnal and would eventually capture the Mughal capital in the aftermath of the battle.
