Proto co-operation is interaction between two living organisms of different species in which both are mutually benefitted but they can live without each other. It is also called facultative mutualism. It is happen between soil bacteria/fungi and plants that occur increasing in soil.

e.g Red - billed oxpecker and Rhinoceros. In which bird feeds on ticks and other parasites sticking to the skin of rhinoceros. And the word also warm the rhino of any approaching danger.
