Stellar organizations of pteridophytes is described below :

1. The core of the vascular system or tissues is known as stele.

2. In pteridophytes, the following are the different types of stellar organizations -

i) Protostele

In this stele, pith is not present. It is the most simplest type of stellar organization.

This stellar organization can be seen in the roots, rhizome, and stems of the pteridophytes.

ii) Siphonostele

When a stele possess pith at its centre, then it is called siphonostele.

It is advanced kind of stele found in higher plants like pteridophytes.

iii) Solenostele

It is a sub category of the stele named siphonostele.
