The deccan plateau extends from river normal to southern tip of peninsular India.
It is the one of the oldest Earth blocks and made up of hard ignious and metamorphosis rocks.

~ The Deccan Plateau lies to the south of the Satpura Range and extends up to Cape Comorin. It is of triangular shape.

~ Its height varies from 300 meters to 900 meters above the sea level.
~ It is a triangular landmass that lies to the south of the river Narmada. The Satpura range flanks its broad base in the north while the Mahadev forms its eastern extensions
