Explanation:
The state government of Rajasthan introduced the Rajasthan State Mahila Commission on 23rd April 1999 in the Vidhan Sabha. It was later passed and was constituted as a statutory body on 15th May 1999.
The main functions of the Rajasthan State Mahila Commission are as follows:
- To analyse and investigate any incident committed against the women and seeking the state intervention in such matters.
- To ensure that the laws are more effective and their proper implementation.
- To see if the existing laws need to be amended.
- To ensure that women are not subjected to any discrimination in both the state public services as well as state public enterprises.
- To take proper steps to improve the financial as well as social condition of women by suggesting welfare schemes for them and seeking equal opportunities for them from the government.
Hope this helps.
