give an account of the measures that can be taken in case of a fire

In case of a fire, following safety measures can be taken :-

1. To doze off the fire, use something which covers the fire and does not allow oxygen which supports combustion like blankets.

2. We can use a fire extinguisher like soda-acid fire extinguishers or carbon dioxide gas which is found in almost every official areas.

3. Use fire proof clothings like fire proof jackets to get out of the situation.

4. If its a normal fire, then put it off by water but in case of electrical fires, don't use water or else you might get shock.

5. It is always said that in case of fire, don't use lifts. Use stairs instead.

6. If situation goes out of control, then call fire brigade..
