give an account on modes of nutrition in plants

TheIncorporealKlaus: Plants get there nutrition, aka the minerals from the soil by roots and proteins by nitrogen fixation
TheIncorporealKlaus: They process their own food by photosynthesis
TheIncorporealKlaus: Non green plants, saprophytes, depend on organic matter for the same

▶There are two modes of nutrition in plants:-

✔Autotrophic mode of nutrition
✔Hetrotrophic mode of nutrition

✴AUTOTROPHIC

✔The mode of nutrition in which organisms manufacture their own food using inorganic components like water and carbon dioxide as well as sunlight as the source of energy is known as Autotrophic mode of nutrition. Autotrophic nutrition are of two types:-

▶Photoautotrophs- Those autotrophs which synthesis organic matters from inorganic substances using the energy from sunlight through photosynthesis are termed as photoautotroph. Some examples are Plants, Algae, Cyanobacteria, Phytoplanktons etc.
▶Chemoautotrophs- Those autotrophs which synthesis organic matters from inorganic substances using the chemical energy are termed as chemoautotroph. Some examples are:- Nitrifying bacteria like Nitrosomonas.
Thermophilic bacteria like thiobacillus. Sulphur bacteria like:- Thiothrix.

✴HETROTROPHIC

✔The mode of nutrition in which the organism cannot make their own food, they are dependent on other plants and small organisms for nutrition, it is known as heterotrophic mode of nutrition. Hetrotrophic nutrition is of three types:-

▶Parasitic mode of nutrition- The mode of nutrition where the organism lives in or on the other organism and derive its food from the body of the host is called parasitic mode of nutrition. For example:- Cuscuta .

▶Saprophytic mode of nutrition- The mode of nutrition in which the organism takes nutrients in solution from dead and decaying matter is called saprophytic nutrition. For example:- Mushrooms.

▶Symbiotic mode of nutrition- The mode of nutrition in which organisms live in association with other plants or animals and share their resources. In this kind of relationship, both the partners are benefitted by the relationship. For example:- Lichen- an association between algae and fungi.
