The fall of monarchy in February 1917 and the events of October are normally called as Russian revolution. It led to the establishment of socialist state.

Tsar Nicolas II - king of Russia

Vladimir Lenin- leader of Bolsheviks group

Robert Owen - opened a cooperative called New Harmony in Indiana

Louis Blanc - was a great socialist of France

Karl Marx - was a great socialist of Germany and proposed the system of                     socialism

Julius Martov - leader of Mensheviks group

Bodies formed for support fro socialism-

(i) Second International in England

(ii) Social Democratic Party in Germany
