Zero is invented by aryabhatt an Indian mathematician. zero is a non-negative integer. It is neither positive nor negative. if we add 0 with any number x the answer will be x. if we subtract any number with 0 the answer will be -x or x. if we multiply any number x with 0 the answer will be 0. :-). zero is a constant number in many ways. it is a whole number and also a real number. but it is not a natural number.

The first known English use of zero was in 1598. The Italian mathematician Fibonacci (c. 1170–1250), who grew up in North Africa and is credited with introducing the decimal system to Europe, used the term zephyrum. This became zefiro in Italian, and was then contracted to zero in Venetian.
