There can be displacement even when there is no force. In fact the effect of force is to accelerate & not just displace. For e.g., an object moving straight in space far away from any celestial object will continue to move forever, although there is no force acting on it. This is due to Newton’s 1st law of motion.
Additionally, consider the case of an uniformly moving object. If an object is moving with constant velocity then the net force acting on it is zero. But there is a displacement along the motion of the object. Hence there can be a displacement
