Resource partitioning is a tactic to avoid competition in species interaction so that all of the interacting species may live together in which a common resource such as water is consumed in different methods such as different time periods to avoid chaos.
for example nocturnal and diurnal species, nocturnal species(ex. fox) hunt during night time as against diurnal(ex. Hyena) which hunts during day time.
NOTE: Resource partitioning is not an absolute phenomena and these are just the usual tendency of species
