Give an example from our daily life where sedimentation and decantation take place

suppose if there is a beaker full of water and some salt is put in it. Then you will wait for the sand to settle down ( sedimentation ) . then when the salt has settle down then pour the water into another beaker safely without disturbing the sediment ( decantation )
