Some of the ways to have the public follow traffic rules:
1. Have a high quality transportation network with minimum delay and no congestion for vehicle users (Although its an ideal condition, it should be tried for). This will lead to lesser frustration to the motorists thereby increasing their willingness to follow traffic rules.
2. Extensive media campaigns relating to road safety. Currently the focus given by the govt/ media is insufficient to create the required focus on the importance of road safety.
3. A certified course should be created which is to be passed before applying for driving license. This course should contain in depth traffic rules and the DO's and DONT's while using the roads. This would make them more responsible and serious about following the traffic rules
