Examples which shows that the velocity is zero but acceleration is non-zero is as follows :
i) When we hold a ball and then when we released it, velocity remain zero but non-zero acceleration occurs.
ii) When we throw a stone upwards in straight direction, velocity remains zero with non-zero acceleration.
iii) When a car or any vehicle starts moving from rest position.
iv) An important example of this case is the oscillating simple pendulum.
