If a body covers equal displacements in equal intervals of time, however small may be, the body is said to have uniform velocity. example When a truck travels in equal distances in equal intervals of time then we say that the body has got a uniform velocity.

If the body is moving in such a way that the magnitude of its velocity is same but its direction is changing then the body is said to be moving with variable velocity. example A body moving on a circular path with constant speed that is undergoing a uniform circular motion has variable velocity.
