When a body moves in a circular path, distance is covered but the displacement is 0.

EXPLANATION:

This is because displacement is equal to the 'shortest distance' between 'initial point' and 'final point'. In case of circular path, the body starts and comes back to the same point.

However, the distance covered would be equal to the "circumference of the circle". Also distance refers to 'how much a object has covered' while displacement means how far he body has travelled.

In case of circular path, the object comes back to the original position and so displacement becomes zero.
