Cutting a paper into two pieces is an example of a physical change which cannot be reversed.

• Now, physical change is a type of change where the state of the matter stays the same or can be restored to the original state. And, no chemical reaction takes place in the case of a physical change.
• In some cases, we cannot fully restore the original shape of an object, although the physical state remains the same. This can be considered as the irreversible physical change.
• For example, if we cut a piece of paper into two pieces then the physical state stays the same only the shape gets permanently deformed. That's why, it's an irreversible physical change.
