Consider the rational numbers -3/4, 2/3 and -5/6 we have

(-3)/4 × {2/3 + (-5)/6} = (-3/4) × {4 + -5/ 6} = (-3/4) × (-1)/6

= {(-3) × (-1)}/(4 × 6) = 3/24 = 1/8

again, (-3/4) × 2/3 = {(-3) × 2}/(4 × 3) = -6/12 = -1/2

and

(-3/4) ×(-5/6) = {(-3) × (-5)}/(4 × 6) = 15/24 = 5/8

Therefore, (-3/4) × 2/3 } + {(-3/4) × (-5/6)} = (-1/2 + 5/8 )

= {(-4) + 5}/8 = 1/8

Hence, (-3/4) × (2/3 + (-5)/6) = {(-3/4) × 2/3} + {(-3/4) × (-5)/6}.
