Irreversible change are those changes which are permanent changes and cannot be brought back into its original form. For example:-)when you burn a piece a paper it convert to ash and you cannot convert that ash into piece of paper again. This type of changes are knows as irreversible change.

The change which cannot be reversed even by changing the conditions is called an irreversible change.

Examples of irreversible change are :

1. Burning of paper or wood : Paper or wood when burnt gives ash and smoke. We cannot obtain paper back from the ash and the smoke.

2. Ageing of living beings : We cannot make an old man, a child by any method.

3. Change of milk into curd : You cannot get milk back from curd .

4. Growth of plants : A tree cannot be reversed back into a plant .

5. Rusting of iron : You cannot get back iron from the rust by a simple process .
