LINEAR
An example of linear motion is an athlete running 100m along a straight track. ... According to Newton's first law of motion, objects that do not experience any net force will continue to move in a straight line with a constant velocity until they are subjected to a net force.

CIRCULAR
Examples of circular motion include: an artificial satellite orbiting the Earth at a constant height, a fan's blades rotating around a hub, a stone which is tied to a rope and is being swung in circles, a car turning through a curve in a race track, an electron moving perpendicular to a uniform magnetic field etc..

Dear Student,
● Linear motion -
The motion of an body along the straight line is called linear motion.
For example,
a car running straight towards the destination.
● Circular motion -
The motion in which body moves along the circular path is called circular motion.
Fpr example, a stone whirled in air with string attached.
Thanks dear for asking. Hope this helps you...
