With a biological perspective, a stimulus is the signal or urge that our brain gets from something around it.
A stimulus is like running when seeing a dog, its an external stimulus which gives us the feeling of fear and we respond to it accordingly by running or doing something to fear the dog instead.
Sorry if this was wrong but i told everything from a biological perspective.
Have a great day :)
