Answer:

the answer may be,

2√2 and -2√2

here sum and product is rational no.

for sum,

2√2+(-2√2)

2√2-2√2

0. ( zero is a rational no.)

for product,

2√2(-2√2)

-8. ( either is a rational no.)

another example;

2+√3. and. 2-√3

sum = 2+√3+2-√3=4

( four is rational no.)

product= (2+√3)(2-√3)

=2^2-√3^2

= 4-3=1

(1 is a rational no.)

example; 3-√3 and 3+√3

sum=3-√3+3+√3=6.

(6 is rational no.)

product= (3-√3)(3+√3)

=9-3=6

(6 is a rational no.)

and many more examples..

I hope it would help you..

if possible, plz mark as brainlist.

thanking u.

Answer:

Let two irrational numbers be 10 + 2√5 and 5 - 2√5

(i) sum is rational

= 10 + 2√5 + 5 - 2√5

= 15 (a rational number)

(ii) product is rational are

= (10 + 2√5) (10 - 2√5)

= (10)2 - (2√5)2

= 100 - 20 = 80 (a rational number)
