an object may be at rest with respect to one object and in motion with respect to another object a person sitting in a moving train is at rest with respect the train but he is in motion with respect to the ground and trees outside thus the state and Motion are relative

suppose a bus is moving and a person is standing near the tree outside of the bus.The person sitting in the bus will find that the tree are moving but the person standing outside of the bus will find that the passengers in bus are moving. The passenger find that the person sitting next to him is in rest .This is hoe the motion is relative in nature.
