Indiscriminate use of pesticides results in degradation of land in following ways:-
i. it result in erosion of soil.
ii. soil ersion leads to loose in fertility of soil.
iii. use of pesticides in fields near water bodies may pollute it which can be harmful for aquatic life.
iv. as it is a chemical product, use of it harmful for humans also as our food.
v. who use crop as fodder will also get affected.

Indiscriminate use of pesticides may result in the degradation of the environment. For example, DDT is an organic pesticide which is used to kill pests in crop fields. When it is used in large quantity it can be passed along the food chain from crops to man or other animals and birds and can harm them.
