A multipurpose project creates social, economic and environmental imbalances because -

• Social imbalance :

To construct large dams for the multipurpose project we have to transfer the human locality of the construction site to somewhere else which causes a great social imbalance.

• Economic imbalance :

The initial cost for making large dams for is very high which causes a great economic imbalance.

• Environmental imbalance :

When we obstruct the flow of the river by constructing dams, the natural ecosystem of the river and it's surrounding's ecosystems loose their natural balance and a major environmental imbalance takes place.
