associative property of subtraction is a - (b - c) is not equal to ( a-b )-c.

so,

If a = 20
b = - 10
c = 5

Then ...

LHS = 20 - (- 10 -5 )

= 20 - ( - 15 )

= 20 + 15
= 35

RHS = {20-(-10)} - 5
= (20 + 10) - 5
= 30 - 5
= 25

Here LHS IS NOT EQUAL TO RHS
